Hi lovelies!
It's been a little while since I've done a fitness post. Got to be honest I kinda lost my mojo a bit recently, instead of exercising I have been eating - waaay to much as well. In fact not only have I been eating my food but I've found myself eating off the kids plates if they have finished dinner and left some food. Not good! So I decided it was time to stop and get back into a workout routine.
I have heard a lot about the Nike Training Club from various celebrities on Twitter and Instagram and lets be honest now, if it's good enough for them, then it's good enough for us to.
Nike has an app on the app store and on android, its completely free as well which is a bonus called Nike Training {I will link the apps at the bottom of this post}.
All you need is a bit of equipment and you are on your way, so far I have found all I needed to buy was a yoga mat, dumbbells and a medicine ball - which I haven't actually got round to buying but I went off to Argos and got a Davina Air Flow Exercise Mat {9.99} and Davina Set Of Dumbbells {£11.99}.
So I have started working out now using this app and I'll be honest it's tough! There are four goals - Get Lean, Get Toned, Get Strong and Get Focused. For this week I have just done Get Lean to get back into things and try and slim down a bit. There are three levels - Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. I started on beginner and I'm glad I did the first day I started I did 30 minutes sweat + shape and it nearly killed me. At one point my whole body was just shaking but hey no pain no gain right?!
Here's what I have been doing this week:
Wednesday: Sweat + Shape
Thursday: Fighter Fit
Friday: Rest day
Saturday: Fighter Fit
Sunday: Rest day
Monday: Sweat + Shape
Tuesday: Sweat + Shape
The one thing I do really like about the app is if you have Apple TV you can mirror the app onto your TV so you can then do the workout alongside the app on a big screen instead of trying to see what you have to do next on a small phone screen. They do tell you what comes next but being able to actually see what you have to do is sometimes better. Google do their own version of the Apple TV to called Chromecast.
I feel really good after doing these workouts, it's a great workout and I will be carrying on with it.
You can download the app on the App Store and Android.
