It has officially been a year since Rufus came to live with us, there has been good and bad moments but one thing we have noticed, he is extremely picky with what he eats.
That is why tails.com is so bloody good.
If you haven't seen or heard of tails.com. you need to go check them out, they are a great little company that tailor make your dogs food just for them. They took Rufus's breed, date of birth and weight, along with his active levels and what his favourite flavour is. Chicken btw, he goes absolutely mental when there is chicken about.
They then tailor make his food based on all that information so each dogs food will be different. You get a little scoop with your dry food along with settings to put it on, so your dog is getting just the right amount that is needed each day.
Not only do they do dry food, they also do wet food, dental sticks, treats and poo bags!
The wet food actually sounds so yummy, you have everything from shepards hotpot, country chicken casserole to steamed fillets with chicken and lamb. Unfortunately Rufus being the fussy dog he is will only eat food with jelly so he is stuck on Chicken & duck and Beef & Vegetables. I am considering buying one of the others every month and seeing if he will start eating anything else. They do gravy, jelly and pates so there is a whole range of choice.
Now when I was buying his food from the shops it would cost me the best part of around £60-70 a month, which is absolutely shocking. They get you on the meat I've noticed. I used to give him one pouch at breakfast and one at dinner with dry biscuits. You get 12 in a box, and you need 14 to fill a week. I mean come on guys! So every week I'd have to buy 2 boxes of food, then the dry food every fortnight.
But however with tails.com, I am spending £35.66 a month on BOTH!! How amazing is that? And best yet Rufus loves it too.
