Now we have moved into our new house we are looking at making it really nice and cosy. This means new cushions, bedding, ornaments, we are even wanting a brand new sofa.
As I was walking through the high street I wandered into a shop called The Original Factory Shop, I was actually really impressed as I found so many nice little ornaments and other bits and pieces, along with copper kitchen items which I am determined to pick up at some point.
I ended up picking a few little bits out that were actually very cheap but really nice and make a difference to our house.
One was a little sign with the saying "All you need is love and a good cup of tea". This was right up my street. It looks great hung up in our kitchen. It is a ceramic shaped tea cup hanging on a little wire hanger. Can you believe this was only £2.00...
I also picked up a black wooden sign that says "Family is where our story begins, life is wonderful with great family by your side". Who couldn't agree more with that statement, this is also hung up in our kitchen and is right on point for us. This move has been huge for all of us but it has been made so much easier with having each other. This was also £2.00.
The last thing I got was actually for Matt, he has so much crap shoved on the kitchen worktops from his wallet, change to just random chewing gums packets etc that it needed a place. So as I was looking about I came across a gorgeous grey and white owl bowl, it was perfect for him to put this stuff on without making it all look a mess. This was £4.00 and it is so nice I am contemplating picking one up for myself, you know for blogging purposes of course!
What I love is that it all ties in nicely with the kitchen, we seem to have a grey and white colour scheme going on and these little bits just make the kitchen a bit fancier but also looking cosy. I will certainly be going back in there to see what else they have in the future.
